The Role of the PA
1. To raise funds for projects, equipment and special events to enrich pupil learning and benefit the school community as a whole.
2. To represent the views of the parents to the Prep Headmistress during PA meetings and Bromsgrove School Headmaster, and School Governors when required.
3. To organise social events to enable new and existing Prep School parents to meet and have a point of contact within the School.
The PA Committee
The PA Committee is elected at the AGM which is held in September. All Prep School parents are members of the PA and are welcome to attend this meeting. The elected Committee organises and runs events throughout the school year. These range from Christmas shopping events for the children, supporting Harvest Festival and running a Macmillan Coffee Morning and cake sale.
A small example of some of the projects the PA have funded over the last couple of years are a digital camera/video recorder, a glass kiln, theatre trips, boot bags for rugby and netball tours, a greenhouse and equipment for Forest School, replacement outdoor chessboard & pieces, ice creams for all children in the summer term.
Forthcoming Events and Information
The latest news and information on PA events plus meetings are included in the school weekly newsletter and also on the noticeboard in Maple Hall. PA meetings are also listed on the School iSams calendar.
Volunteers are always welcome (and often needed!) to help with the smooth running of events. If you would like to join our volunteer list, and have some fun along the way, then please contact the PA Chair via the School office.
