Bromsgrove is proud of its long association with military families. We currently have over 160 pupils from HM Forces and the FCO, from all ranks and military disciplines, across the Prep and Senior Schools. These families pay just 10% of boarding fees, with the full CEA entitlement. Read more about the generous fee remission below.
Bromsgrove is a registered member of the Armed Forces Covenant. We pledge to support Remembrance Day, Armed Forces Day and the Poppy Appeal, as well as local community outreach initiatives to support the Royal British Legion. We also employ an Forces Liaison Officer at the School to ensure that our military children are offered support and guidance throughout their time with us.
Bromsgrove School provides a high-calibre education at a very competitive cost for children of personnel in HM Forces and FCO. The Forces Discounts are automatically awarded on joining the School. We offer a flat fee arrangement, where parents pay a percentage of the gross fee.

Bromsgrove provides continuity of education from Pre-Prep to the end of Sixth Form. Pupils can and do commence boarding at age 7 (Year 3). Each pupil is in a bespoke House relevant to their age and gender, each with live-in Houseparents. Most military Boarders join Page House, our Prep School Boarding House, which caters for 100 boys and girls aged 7 to 13.
In Senior School there are four single Boarding Houses and one co-ed Sixth Form House. All are large, comfortable, family homes run by resident Houseparents together with Assistant Houseparents and a team of dedicated Housemothers, tutors and ancillary staff.
We are sensitive to the desire of Forces parents to keep families together and siblings will automatically go into the same House as their brothers and sisters, but when not in the same House they are welcome to visit each other during free time and older siblings can visit the Prep boarding House as well. Bromsgrove School staff make every effort to accommodate the needs of serving parents to spend time with their children during their leave.
There are no exeats at Bromsgrove, meaning all boarders stay at School for the full academic year, taking part in activities and trips during weekends including cultural visits to London, theme park visits, academic extension and much more. Bromsgrove is very well situated to access many open spaces and interesting historical and cultural destinations. During the holidays, the School offers a 'Guardian Angels' service to offer accommodation to children who are unable to return home. This means that pupils remain in a comfortable and familiar environment, and experience minimal disruption and travel.
Bromsgrove School has been accredited by the Royal College of Organists, the UK’s professional body for organists.
