A Memorial and Thanksgiving Service for the life of Mr Tony Finn (18 April 1930 - 22 May 2023)

Saturday, 27th April 2024 in the Bromsgrove School Memorial Chapel at 11.00am

Many generations of Bromsgrovians were saddened to hear of the death of Mr Tony Finn - one of the greatest characters and stalwarts of our School in the late 20th Century. Many OBs will recall him in many different guises. During his career with us - from 1965 to 1995 - he was a teacher of Physics, Rugby coach, Housemaster of Gordon, Second Master and Deputy Headmaster and, finally, Director of Services.

In recognition of his decades of devotion to the School and its pupils, a Memorial and Thanksgiving Service, for his family and those who knew him, will be held in the Memorial Chapel at Bromsgrove School on 27th April at 11.00am. It will be a joyous occasion which will celebrate a long, full and rewarding life which touched and influenced many - above all his family, the School and Bromsgrove Rugby Club. Tony would have been delighted to see many different generations of Bromsgrovians reconnect at the School in celebration of his life.

The Service will be followed by a Reception at midday in the Hospitality Suite.
The School warmly invites OBs to send us any photographs or memories of Mr Finn. These will be displayed at the Reception and then preserved in our Heritage Centre. Any memories should be sent to the Bromsgrovian Office - please email oldbromsgrovians@bromsgrove-school.co.uk
