Michaelmas Term - 15th November 2016

Dear Parents,
It is nice to have the children back in the house after their half term break. They all seem refreshed and ready for the remainder of the term.

We’ve had a number of birthday parties last month, all the children invited some friends to join them for pizza and cake.

The Year 8 pupils joined the Senior School on a shopping trip to the Bullring, this trip always proves to be very popular. The boys in the House are always first to sign up for this trip, I think they are more interested in finding places to eat rather than the shopping experience.

A larger number of the children participated in our final trip before the half term break, they all had a fun filled Sunday paint balling. They also enjoyed a BBQ lunch before playing two further games in the afternoon, for these final games the children joined in with the Senior School pupils.

In the final days before the half term break, we held our Halloween party, Miss On the final Thursday before half term we had our House Halloween party. Miss Smith & I decorated the White House and we all had a treat of pizza and party food for dinner. All the children enjoyed dressing up and made a great effort with their costumes. Aarush even managed to get his 30 minutes of reading prep done in his costume. Best dressed (which was so hard to choose) went to Sophia Mills and Noah Rogers.

We also played some traditional Halloween party games consisting of apple bobbing, donut on a string and best dressed mummy!

Please see the attached copy of the School Trips Consent Form, if you would be so kind as to complete this and return it to Tony at your earliest convenience at twindo@bromsgrove-school.co.uk. This will then enable either Tony or myself to sign consent forms on your behalf for your son/daughter to participate in school trips. This will hopefully save you having to email us with your consent for every trip. We will, however, still ask the children to contact you for permission and to let you know which trips they would like to go on.

Tony and I are still concerned about the amount of time some of the children spend on their electrical devices, and phones in particular. On Monday evening we will be talking to the Year 8 children about this and reminding them of the dangers of the internet.

Thank you again for your continued support.

Caroline and Tony Windo
