IAPS National Hockey Finals

The girls' U13A team competed in the IAPS National Hockey Finals yesterday. The girls started nervously against Wellingborough Prep but managed to secure a 1-0 win with a penalty flick after the final whistle. Bromsgrove unfortunately lost 1-2 to Chafyn Grove in a closely contested match and 1-3 to a strong Danes Hill side. Bromsgrove played brilliantly in their fourth group match; they attacked well as a team and played with a great intensity to beat Millfield Prep 2-1. This was an excellent achievement as Millfield went on to become National Champions and did not lose another game all day. The girls battled hard and created some good goal scoring opportunities in their final group game, which ended 1-1 with Gresham's.

Bromsgrove finished in fourth place in their group and progressed through to the quarter final of the plate where they played Clifton College. At full time the score was 0-0 and the girls eventually lost 0-1 on golden goal.
