CCF Silver Final Expedition

Last weekend (21st-24th June), 50 members of the CCF embarked on their Silver Final expedition in the Black Mountains, South Wales.
The trip included a private visit to the museum of the Royal Welch where the cadets had an opportunity to dress in the weapons and equipment of the soldiers serving in the Anglo-Zulu War of 1865.
The weather was kind, and the scenery was spectacular. Cadets encountered wild ponys, highland cattle, red kites and an ancient ruined monastery on their travels. On the final day their route took them along Offa's Dyke were they were able to stand astride the path with a foot in Wales and a foot in England.
