Summer Term - 27th April 2017

Dear Parents,

It has been wonderful to welcome the children back to Page House after the Easter Break. We hope you all had an enjoyable three weeks. All children have now unpacked and settled into their new rooms.

There have been some extensive works undertaken during the holidays. As you might have already have seen when dropping you son/daughter off last week, there has been major work to the car par as part of the Prep School redevelopment. We have also had four new boilers installed in the White House that will now hopefully supply endless hot water to all the rooms.

We have welcomed two new Year 3 boys Andile Zulu and Morgan Kirkden-Smith into the House this term. For two such young children they have adjusted very quickly into life in the Boarding House. I must however say, all the children have been excellent in helping Andile and Morgan familiarise themselves with the House, routines and join our Page House family.

Alex Li has been given our Page House Star award, Mrs Deval-Reed received a very complimentary letter from a passenger who was on the same flight home as Alex. The lady wrote that for such a young boy travelling alone, he was polite, friendly and very courteous. He helped some fellow passengers who were a little confused about boarding gates and from a parent’s perspective, she thought he was a real credit to the school. This makes us all very proud Alex.

During the break, we purchased some Go Karts to help encourage the children to play more outside. These are proving to be very popular with the girls and boys and the children are enjoying riding around the school campus and playing on these.

Caroline and Miss Smith have already had a turn on the go karts and Mr Sutherland is looking forward to half term to enable him to go racing around the grounds with his girls.

April seems to be a very popular month for birthdays and we have already had six parties since the children have returned.

On Sunday afternoon, the children enjoyed an afternoon in the sun playing rounders and it was even warm enough to have an ice-lollies after a hard-fought match.

Thank you again for your continued support,

Caroline and Tony
