Forty-four Year 7 students and six teachers - Mr Jones, Mr Barratt, Mrs James , Mrs Hill, Mrs Townsend and Mrs Sitlu - embarked on a four-day trip to the Bay of Naples and Amalfi Coast in Italy. After an early morning meet at Birmingham International Airport, the trip departed, and after landing in Naples, the group headed off to a pizza making experience in Sorrento, which was a perfect way to start the trip.
The Paradiso Hotel in Castalamarre de Stabia, was a great base for the tour party. On their first full day, pupils walked the iconic Mount Vesuvius and around the ruins of Pompeii. The second full day took in a stunning drive along the world-renowned Amalfi Drive, taking in Positano, before walking around Amalfi Town where they got to experience a traditional Italian town in the south of the country. The day was concluded with a stunning boat trip to the city of Solerno. The pupils have definitely made lifelong memories.
