Marmite Society Evening
Posted: 20/05/2019
On Friday evening, Gifted and Talented students from The Marmite Society met for the final Movie and Pizza evening of the academic year. Senior students made new members from Year 7 very welcome: pizza, cake, popcorn and the movie ‘Apollo 13’ all gave a welcome break in the current exam schedules. This term’s seminar themes include ‘Who’s in Charge? Free Will, Determinism and Neuroscience’, and ‘Art or Science – which is more useful?’
As ever, the Marmite skeleton was dressed in keeping with the movie, and there was merchandise – Marmite Society bookmarks and badges. In addition, to celebrate another year of discipline and imagination, Charissa B, Jake W, Zoe L and Radu P were awarded Society keyrings and pots of Marmite as ‘Marmite Original Thinkers’.
