Invitational Netball

On Wednesday, the U13A and U12A netball teams played in a friendly Invitational netball tournament hosted by Cheltenham Ladies' College.

The U13s played in six group stage matches and they won against Wycliffe 6 - 5, drew with RGS 6 - 6, beat Pate’s 6 - 5, Colstons 6 - 3 and Redmaids 6 - 5. Bromsgrove only lost one match against Millfield 5 - 6 and because they drew with RGS, the semi-place finals place went down to goal difference. Unfortunately, this didn’t go their way and the girls finished up in third position.

The U12As won every single group match beating Millfield 5 - 1, Wycliffe 8 - 1, Pates 8 - 2, RGS Worcester 8 - 0, Colston’s 4 - 2 and Redmaids 7 - 5. They qualified through to the semi-final as winners of the group against Clifton College. This was a very competitive, physical game which Bromsgrove came out on top winning 4 - 1. This then put them in the final against a team they had already beaten in the group stage, Redmaids. Bromsgrove went a couple of goals down at the start of the game, and despite their best efforts, lost 2 - 5. The girls should be very proud of their performance and were worthy Runners Up.

The U13Bs travelled to Abberley in a friendly match and played some lovely netball winning 15 - 4.
