Inaugural Multi-Sports Competition
Posted: 11/11/2020
Week 1 Report:
Thursday, 11th November 2020 was a memorable day for sport in the Prep School as it was the start of the inaugural multi-sports event.
Every pupil in Years 5-8 has been assigned to a team and will compete in a different sport each week (still competing in year group bubbles).
Yesterday witnessed the following action:
Year 5 girls – hockey
Year 5 boys – Aquathlon (Run and Swim)
Year 6 girls – cross country
Year 6 boys – benchball
Year 7 girls – basketball
Year 7 boys – football
Year 8 girls – netball
Year 8 boys – touch rugby
Enthusiasm and energy levels were high in all sporting arenas with the pupils relishing the opportunity of some competitive sport. For some, it was a brand new sport, for others it was a well known and loved sport.
Staff were impressed with the team work from all pupils and there was a buzz of enjoyment in the air long after the Year 6 girls chants of “Let’s go Lions, LET’S GO” could be heard ringing around the concourse.
This was a hugely successful start for what promises to be a super half term of Wednesday sporting action.

Yr 5 girls – Jaguars
Yr 5 boys – Jaguars
Yr 6 girls – Jaguars
Yr 6 boys – Panthers
