Dear Oakley Parent and Guardians
The longest half term is almost complete and it is my pleasure to share your daughters’ recent successes with you.
On the academic front, the first AEO grades were released last week and in Oakley we celebrated the achievements of the following girls who got the highest attainment grades for their year group:
L4 Sai-Nam
U4: Shirley & Sayana
Vth: Casey, Clara & Anna
L6: Sally & Maanha
U6: Lin & Lara
Lin also received personal congratulations from Mr Wingfield, Director of A Level, for being in the top 5% of the whole School year for her results.
We were equally proud of those students who gained the best engagement grades, reflecting their consistent hard work and dedication across all of their subjects:
Nikki, Karis, Clara, Hanna, Tamika, Maanha, Lin, Rafa and Lara.
And in the past week, a number of academic commendations were awarded by staff. Well done to Nina R and Hatty O who gained 4 commendations apiece and to Anna R who has been given 5 commendations in one week!
On the sporting front, Anna, Sofia, Anna, Jacqueline and Bernice L won a table tennis fixture against Littleton club; Anna and Karis competed in County trials and Karis won her age group. Congratulations to you all:
Our Charity Monitor, Zahrah, and the whole House are really delighted to have raised £592 for Women’s Aid for last weekend’s charity run. Thanks again for your donations.
To mark the end of an exceptionally successful half term, we treated our Monitor team to a meal at a local restaurant to thank them for their outstanding leadership and dedication to Oakley House:
The Monitors also put finishing touches to our display that celebrates the diversity within Oakley:
I would like to wish all our girls a wonderful and well deserved break, whether that is here at School or with their families.
Best wishes
Victoria Adams
