Gear Change is the senior school’s second hand uniform shop.  Run by volunteers who have children in the school, it aims to sell on good quality, clean, regulation uniform at half the new price.  Of this, 25% will go to the school PA and the rest to the supplier.

In November 2007 we moved from the School Shop building at the North Gate to the Music School Building, Webber House, on the Preparatory School Campus.  We can now be found approximately 5 minutes walk from the School shop, or by driving through the rear entrance of the Prep. School off Conway Road past the Health Centre and parking in the Music School car park or outside the Llanwrtyd Wells Centre.

What we ask, is that all uniform brought to us is clean and in a saleable condition. Anything which is non-regulation, and/or un-saleable will be re-cycled or donated to charity.  All items should be clearly labelled with the name to which cheques should be made payable and an address to where cheques should be sent.  Don’t forget, it sometimes takes a few years before something is sold, and your child may no longer be a pupil at the school.  Labelling slips can be obtained from Gear Change, or the School Shop or Prep reception (both of whom are happy to take bagged and labelled items on our behalf).

We are open on the first Saturday of every month during term time from 9 to 11 am and at other times during the holidays.  Dates will be posted in advance on the website.  We can also open by appointment in special circumstances.

Gear Change always needs volunteers.  It needn’t take up too much of your time.

If you need further information, wish to make an appointment or can spare any time to help please contact: Colleen Budge (01527 861431 / 07971 186517), Alison Webb (07889 474127) or Sue Greeff (01527 401117).
