Michaelmas Term 2019
Welcome back to everyone for a new School year and especially welcome to the new Lower IVth, other new boys and all your families.
The Walters PA is run and supported by a friendly bunch of parents with representatives from most year groups. Throughout the year, the PA runs and supports a number of activities both in and out of School. Amongst the social events organised last year were paintballing, a quiz, summer leavers football and BBQ and of course the Gazebo at Commemoration.
We send out a Newsletter once a term and ask that if your boys have done something outside of School that deserves recognition, then please email us on WaltersPA@bromsgrove-school.co.uk as this year we would like to celebrate the many successes we know the boys have in their life outside of School. Mr Bell does a fantastic job of celebrating the School and House successes on the House Twitter Page which he runs - please follow @BromsWalters
We have an exciting calendar of events already planned for this School year starting with Tea, Coffee and Cake catch up and meet before the PA Annual AGM on Wednesday, 11th September (from 17.45pm in House), Paintballing event (TBC confirmed but will be on a Sunday), a Casino evening and the Annual Christmas Drop In and Raffle!
Details of all events will be emailed out to you (for reply if you are attending or not) and you can always keep an eye on this page, Twitter and of course, the School calendar.

Walters PA

The Walters House PA organises social events throughout the School year to provide additional resources and social activities for Walters’ boys and their families. The events also provide a chance for parents to meet socially. The Walters PA meets at least once each term and arranges at least one event per term. We are a friendly bunch and cover most year groups in the House. We really want to make sure that parents from all year groups feel they can get involved in the PA. Everyone is welcome to attend the PA meetings and it’s fine to come along as little or often as you are able.
The PA manages some of the funds collected throughout the year including money raised at some of the House social events. Our regular purchases include leavers’ gifts, pool table repairs and subsidising House events. One-off purchases have previously included a new flat screen TV, newspaper/magazine subscriptions, kitchen items and sports kits for House sporting fixtures. In the past year funds have been used for a new Bluetooth Speaker, refurbishment of the Pool Table and subsidising the very successful Paintballing event against School House.
