| We are fortunate to have an excellent shooting ground 15 minutes away from the school, and clay pigeon shooting has been for many years a popular part of the school’s extra-curricular programme. Hereford and Worcester Shooting Ground gives expert tuition to groups of our pupils on three afternoons a week; all abilities are catered for, ranging from those who just want to have a go to see what clay shooting is like to those who get the bug and take to shooting in a big way. We enter teams and individuals for up to five inter-school competitions a year, and it is rare for us to complete a season without bringing home a trophy or two. Parental support at these competitions is strong, with some parents shooting in the competition alongside their son or daughter. A small but dedicated group of Old Bromsgrovians often shoots as well. |
