Netball takes place predominantly after Christmas, in the Lent term, when we play block Saturday afternoon fixtures against other schools in the area. However, as most of the national tournaments begin in September our training programme also has to begin early and there are a select number of matches in the Michaelmas term too. 

Bromsgrove has a good record in recent years in the National Tournaments with all teams reaching a minimum of the County stages.  In 2003/4 our U16 team were crowned County Champions, and almost reached National Finals, as was the case for our U14 team in the 2004/5 season.  In 2005/6 it was the U18’s turn to excel and they also progressed through to the West Midland Finals as County Champions.  The teams train hard during their lunch hour as well as in the time allocated for official ‘Games’ sessions and we can often put out 3 teams per age group for matches on a Saturday. 

Our 8 newly resurfaced netball courts are floodlit which proves extremely helpful as the nights draw in and allows us to play mid-week as well as weekend matches.  In March we hold an annual U14 invitational Tournament, which regularly attracts the top teams in the area, and in January we host and organise U12 and U10 Invitational Tournaments for the all the local Preparatory Schools.
