Association football is played by pupils of all ages in the Spring term, and since its introduction as a major sport at the School five years ago it has developed rapidly so that most Saturdays now see more than 100 pupils representing Bromsgrove School, with two or three teams on behalf of each year group.
The fixture list has increased and evolved; local derbies against the likes of RGS and Kings Worcester are supplemented by matches against other large independent schools such as Oundle, Marlborough College and St. Edwards, Oxford. Alongside School football teams, large numbers of boys compete in Senior and Junior House League matches, whilst there is also a less competitive 'recreational football' activity; together these give plenty of opportunities for boys of all ages and abilities to play.
There is no doubt that the quality of football played throughout the school is constantly improving and the future of the game at Bromsgrove looks very promising.
The Football teams are taking part in the following Competitions in 2007 - see the web links for full news of the competition results.
