Basketball at Bromsgrove began about 14 years ago as a minor activity and at first proved attractive to only a small but dedicated following. But even in that first year competitive success was attained in the shape of a County Cup win. To date we have added a further 10 triumphs at various ages & featured in another 9 finals. A couple of Birmingham Plates & three tournament wins almost complete our catalogue of successes but in 2001 a special group of young men won the National under 19 B competition after narrowly missing out in the previous year.

To date, 111 players have represented our under 19 team. The truly international nature of the sport is indicated by the fact that 16 different nations are represented in that list, coming from all of the 6 populated continents. Other nations are represented in the team lists of younger age groups.

Our aim is first & foremost to provide pupils with an enjoyable experience in the sport but most often this turns into a quest for trophies & a desire for excellence. We welcome all that want to learn about the game & only ask that participants always do their best.
