We offer a dynamic exploration of the world in which we live in, culturally, socially and historically: a gateway to discovering our past, acknowledging our present and glimpsing a vision of our possible future through the use of a wide range of mediums.

We approach our adventure with high expectations, fun, good humour, creativity, sensitivity and an open mind as to what we may discover. All students in Yr 9 enjoy one period a week and the subject is then taken on to GCSE, AS and A2 Levels. Using a variety of stimuli such as photographs, music, costume, personal props, documentaries, lighting, sound, and extracts from many forms of the written and spoken word, we find ourselves on an often surprising yet always informative sojourn through life’s experiences. We expand the curriculum through theatre visits (Stratford is our neighbour), workshops from external experts, and travel to other countries in Europe and the United States of America. We also give students the opportunity to take the RADA certificate or be involved in the many productions that fill the year.

The voyage of self-discovery develops new skills which prepare pupils for the next stage of their journey. This may be following a career in the Performing Arts (as many Bromsgrovians have done) or in any other profession that involves the art of confident communication.
