We aim to provide all pupils with the opportunity to develop their physical skills and interests in our extensive range of activities, and to enable gifted games players and athletes to pursue their chosen sport to the highest levels.  All pupils take Physical Education as part of their curriculum and it is a highly valued part of their education at Bromsgrove.  The department offers the opportunity to study Physical Education at AS and A Level. 

The pupils enjoy the use of first class facilities which include sports hall, with weights room and climbing wall, squash courts, tennis courts and a heated indoor swimming pool.  The extensive grass pitches are enhanced by an all weather Astroturf with a second imminent.  The school enjoys use of a 6 lane tartan athletics track.  Outdoor pursuits take place throughout the year. 

Major games in Michaelmas and Lent Terms are rugby football, hockey, netball, football, cross-country and swimming, with cricket, athletics, rounders and tennis occupying Summer Term.  Teams are also selected in badminton, basketball, clay pigeon shooting, fencing, real tennis, rock climbing, golf, rowing and squash.  A number of additional clubs and activities meet regularly every week.
