Over the last decade there has been considerable investment in ICT, and Bromsgrove School now enjoys first rate facilities. There are four purpose built ICT suites used for teaching across the curriculum. Several departments such as Design and Technology, Business Studies and Biology have their own computer rooms. Spread across the campus there are around 600 workstations, powered by a high speed network infrastructure. Even with this number of computers, internet access is still very fast.

The main emphasis in the classroom is in teaching ICT ‘driving skills’ and all Sixth form students follow a course designed around the Microsoft Office Specialist qualification. Younger pupils follow the Independent Schools Exam Board Certificate of Achievement in ICT which focuses on computer literacy and acquiring competency in a range of software applications including web page design, control software and spreadsheets. Students with an interest in computing can take A Level Information Technology in the Sixth Form.

Efficient use of ICT has become a way of life at Bromsgrove and all staff and students rely heavily on the intranet, internet and email as communication mediums as well as a means of enhancing the learning experience. All students have a personal school email account and communication between teacher and pupil by email is integral to the efficient running of the School. Pupils are expected to check emails at least once per day.

The main ICT suites are housed in the Library Resources Centre which is open from 8am till 9:00 pm, enabling all students to have easy access to ICT facilities.
