Prep House Drama

Thursday morning saw the Prep School stage their inaugural House Drama competition. Children performed short scenes in pairs to Years 6, 7 and 8. Pupils in Years 7 and 8 have been busy preparing scenes since January and after a very intense series of auditions, the finalists were chosen.

Well done to the finalists:

Jessica W and Natasha B - The Angry Doctor
Polly D and Anna C - Headlines
Fred H and Jared S - Stagestruck
Isabella R and Grace W - Fault
Brooke Y and Rose W – Bridesmaids
Polly G and Melissa W - Goggleeyes




The children were competing for best performance which was won by Polly D and Anna C with a well-constructed and perfectly performed scene called ‘Headlines’.

Jessica W and Natasha B performed a very funny scene of ‘The Angry Doctor’ and were awarded runners up.

Rose W and Brooke Y came in third place with their scene ‘Bridesmaid’.

A special Mention to Fred H who was awarded Best Actor for his wonderful reciting of Shakespeare during his piece.

The pupils watching commented on how they “wished it was longer” and they were “thinking about joining up next year”.
