Bromsgrove Service and CAS (for the IBDP) Fifth and Sixth Form pupils led their second session to Years 7 and 8 Gifted and Talented pupils in the Preparatory School today.
The learning focus for was ‘what is feminism’? Senior school pupils gave a brief overview of feminism including explaining the three waves of feminism. There was then a lively discussion on the role of feminism today and whether feminism equals power.
The session was rounded off by linking it back to the topic of this term’s discussion; The Hunger Games. Pupils overwhelmingly voted in favour that Katniss could be seen as a feminist, but were more divided as to which wave of feminism she represented.
