Year 3 pupils enjoyed a visit to the Prep School Science labs to investigate reversible and irreversible changes as part of their work on States of Matter.

Prep School Science specialists, Miss Cartwright and Mrs Hepburn, helped the young scientists to test some frozen foodstuffs that had been found inside Shackleton’s storage hut on Antarctica to see whether they could change their state by heating them up. They then refroze the items after heating to test what would happen. There were some very interesting results and the children enjoyed the experience a great deal.
