| The fabulous new building, Maple House, is rather like the tardis. Walk through the doors and the space hits you! The coloured curves add to the vibrancy which can only serve to enthuse the children to inspirational study.
Our junior year groups, 3, 4 and 5, are based in Maple House. Children in Years 3 and 4 are encouraged towards independence having left behind their infant years. The children follow a busy timetable, but are nurtured in this by experienced primary practitioners. Year 5 is our transitional year; bridging the gap from a primary to a secondary style of teaching. English, Mathematics and Science are the core subjects taught, but a great deal of fun is enjoyed with the Humanities, Art, DT, French, ICT, Music and PSHE & C. A generous dose of PE, Games and Swimming are also part of the working week. We are fortunate in the resources and facilities available to us as part of a large School.
As well as academic work, the children can take part in the fabulous activities program. This is voluntary and can be joined whenever parents feel that their children are ready. We are in the forefront of modern education and are hugely proud of what we have to offer! |
