Geography in the Preparatory School is taught by a subject specialist from Year 5 to Year 8, and pupils receive two lessons per week. In the more Junior years it is taught by the form teacher. The Bromsgrove School campus is well utilised for studies of the local environment as is the town itself. The department is well stocked with reference material and fieldwork tools, and ample use is made of ICT facilities within the school when delivering the subject.

Much of the curriculum material is stored on the pupil's own area  of the school system through which pupils can gain access to notes and PowerPoint presentations. Pupils in the final year of the Preparatory School also undertake a major field work study that is then submitted to the Senior School.
