A Right Royal Tea Party

Children in Reception and Year 1 enjoyed a surprise ‘tea with the Queen,’ on Wednesday, as part of their Diamond Jubilee celebrations. They have been busily preparing for the tea party all week, learning the National Anthem, writing invitations to a partner in the other year group and baking delicious cakes, which were iced red, white and blue and topped with a jubilee design.

The glorious afternoon was rounded off with the children entertaining ‘Her Majesty’ with some written compositions, entitled ‘If I were Queen for the day!’
